Pets we commonly see
We regularly see rabbits, hamsters, sugar gliders, birds and turtles for consultations and care. We may also be able to see other animals, depending on their species and symptoms.
Rabbits
Low energy, reduced activity, eating less or not eating, fewer or smaller droppings, diarrhea, watery stools or soft stools.
Hamsters
Wounds or skin problems.
Sugar gliders
Loose stools or wounds.
Birds
Low energy, reduced activity, loose droppings or wounds.
Turtles
Low energy, reduced activity, eating less or not eating, keeping the eyes closed, or swollen eyes.
Symptoms and health concerns
Please contact us if you notice ongoing changes in your pet's eating, droppings, movement or behavior. General health checks are also available.
- Eating less than usual
- Changes in the amount, size or appearance of droppings
- Low energy or reduced activity
- Loose or unusually soft stools
- Wounds or skin problems
- A general health check
Call us immediately if your pet shows any of these signs
- Difficulty breathing, panting or unusually labored breathing
- Very lethargic or not moving
- Seizures
- Bleeding
These signs may need urgent veterinary attention. Please call us immediately rather than waiting to see if they improve. Our veterinarian will assess the symptoms and advise you on the next steps. If your pet needs hospitalization with round-the-clock care, we will recommend a veterinary hospital that offers it. Outside clinic hours, or if your pet's condition is very severe, contact a 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital immediately.

Fees vary depending on your pet's species and symptoms, and any additional tests, procedures or medication needed. We will explain what is needed and the estimated costs before proceeding.

Species, age, sex and weight (if known) - Symptoms and when they started
When you first noticed the symptoms, including any changes in eating, droppings or activity - Photos and videos
Photos or videos showing the symptoms, and photos of your pet's living environment if relevant. - Usual diet and living environment
What your pet usually eats. If relevant, please also prepare photos of the cage, enclosure, bedding or living area.
